My husband told me to...

I am totally new to this blogger world, so tonight i text my wonderful handsome husband and ask him what i should blog about and he told me "Maybe something along the lines of how much your husband loves you and what he does for you!!!!" Yes this is how helpful my husband is!! But then I started think.. why the heck not! So here is one of my favorite stories of him and I!

HOW WE MET AND HOW WE GOT ENGAGED!!

Warning- I am that crazy mormon girl that I always made fun of!

I will never forget the day I met Matthew, he changed my life! It was April 28th, 2013 Sunday afternoon. Earlier that day I had a feeling to text one of my really good friend Tyler and meet him up for church however because i am EXTREMELY stubborn I ignored the feeling and kept sleeping! A few hours later I started thinking about my very first wedding I was going to photograph at the end of the week and my heart started raising and my mind going wild on me! Again I had the feeling to text Tyler but this time to ask him if his girlfriend and him could come over and I could practice a few poses I had in mind, after an hour of debating if I should text time or not I finally gave in!

Our Conversation~

Me: Hey dude are you and your gal busy? I would love to practice a few posses for a wedding I have this weekend!

Tyler: Hey! Let me ask her, her brother is in town do you mind if he tags along? He's really cute ;)!!

Me: Sweet let me know if you can! You'd be saving my butt!! Ty you know I don’t want to date right now. I want to focus on me and my photography, and getting back to church! He is always welcome to come but I’m not interested, I wont pay any attention to him. Just let him know!

Tyler: She said yes- we will be over in a few.

As the door opened on the passenger side and I first saw Matthews face my heart dropped and my Sprit leapt for joy, a feeling I have never left before. Some how I knew this boy. as I started at him totally awkwardly my head was raising of how I know him, did I take his pictures, did I go to school with him, do we live in the same apt complex or have I just seen him across the mall? Non of these seemed right. As Tyler introduced us I took a step to shake his hand and I tripped off the porch I thought I was a goner destined for my face to meet the pavement but Matthew being the man he is caught me!! My heart was beating to load, I knew I was going to spend All Time and Eternity with his boy!

Even though I knew how I felt about him I wasn't about to let him know. I quickly stood on my own and completely put him out of my head. I turned to Tyler and Aubrey and stated posing them. Matthew noticed I wouldn't even look at him so he did everything to get me to talk to him which meant making me mad so I had to look at him to tell him to shut up and let me work!! Matthew couldn’t keep his eyes off me, he ran into branches more then once because he was so entranced!

Time came and they had to leave, we didn't exchange numbers. Mostly because Tyler kept saying "Matt she's single you should get her digits" or "Hannah... he's cute right? NUMBER!!" AWKWARD! What are best friends for right! Maybe five min later I told Tyler to give him my number but matt was way ahead of me. The very first text I got from Matthew was ….

"Hey this is Matthew, Aubrey's sister!!"

WHAT A WIERDO!! But it worked he stole my heart! Two weeks later we were engaged and 2 months after we were married! July 20, 2013 was the beginning of our eternal life together!! I LOVE HIM!!!!!

The Proposal

May 18th, 2013

Matthew planned a nice dinner at his aunt’s house. He first old me that they were joining us for dinner but as it turns out it was only Matthew and I! He made all my favorite things, Chicken Alfrado with amazing rolls!! Wins me over every time! During the whole dinner I kept thinking "is this it.. Come on ask me dang it! " But no, dinner was over but then he asked me to go on a walk. Again I was thinking the same thing this is how he was going to ask me. But once again another surprise he also invited he's sister and my Friend Tyler to the walk also. I’m not going to lie I was mad. I didn't want them to join I just wanted it to be him and I. But no they came with.

As we walked we had to go up a BIG hill, to me at least to everyone else in the world it was small. I kept thinking if he proposes after this freaking hill I’m going to cry, I’m all sweaty and gross that wont be pretty! For once I got what I wanted... somewhat. He picked a spot on the very top of the hill that looked out the whole city of Payson. It was absolutely beautiful! After sitting there for a few seconds he pulls out a few pieces of paper and starts to read it.

and it said.

Dear Hannah,

Words are so short sided and cannot adequately describe my feeling, but I will try to help you understand my feelings in the best way possible. You came into my life at a turning point for me. The point was that I had decided that I wasn't going to look for a girlfriend for a little while and just focus on work and becoming a better and more worthy Priesthood holder. There were my thoughts until I met YOU!!! When our eyes met it was like I knew you from somewhere, but I didn't. When you fell and I caught you as we said Hello, I knew that I knew you from somewhere and I knew that I wanted to spend more time with you. When you allowed me to go on a walk with you later that day I was so excited to be able to see you again as well as be able to talk to you. While on the walk I felt so comfortable around you that I wanted to tell you everything about me. I also know that I wanted to spend the rest of my life and all of Eternity with someone like you!!! Sometime during our texting while I was in Ceder City I knew that you were the one I wanted to get married to. As we have spent more time together that surety to marry you has grown and evolved into an I must and will marry you no matter what it takes!!! Hannah every time I lay my eyes on you or hold you in my arms I feel at home!! Hannah, for the longest time I worried about finding someone who would accept me for me and accept the fact that I have a past and have changed and am working on changing still. Well that all changed when I met you!!!! You accept me for me and I am so grateful to you for that!! Hannah some would say that we have moved to fast or that we are rushing things. But I don't feel that way!! Plus one can never rush true LOVE!!!! People may not believe that we fell in love at first sight, but we did. Hannah YOU ARE THE LOVE OF MY LIFE!!! If I had to I would give up everything to be with you!!!! If you required my life I'd give it to you!!! I love you so much that I would do anything for you. I will do all that I can do keep a smile on your face. I will do all in my power to keep you happy. I will do everything possible to Love you forever. Darling I would do anything you asked me to. I love you more than anything or any living being on this Earth, and I am willing to prove it to you. Hannah my heart is yours. My strength is yours. My brain and thoughts are yours and my body is yours. And to prove my love and my devotion to you. (Got down on knee and ask) "Hannah Irene Miller will you do me the Honor of becoming my wife, my permanent friend, my love, and my Eternal companion?"

We look like little babies!!!!

After the letter he got down on one Knee and asked me to marry him.... Honestly I couldn't even hear him I was crying so hard(and I don’t cry soft or pretty). The moment his knee touched the flow I motioned him to stand. I don’t even remember saying yes. I was just so happy!! This was it, this was one of the moments I was waiting for, I knew he was the right one for me!
